7:00 pm - The Art of Balance …a violin recital

One of the most influential ideas in the history of Western Classical Music has been the idea of the Sonata Form, since the development of the term "sonata" and the establishment of the practice of the classical masters C.P.E. Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, and their codification into teaching and theory by later writers, the development and change in the practice of writing works thought to be in the form has a long history, and is intimately related to the developments in orchestral and chamber music.
